TellTheirStory.org has given birth to a new concept

At the beginning of 2009, TellTheirStory.org set out to:

1. •Inspire through Media
   

2. •Equip through Education
   

3. •Serve through Expeditions
   

You’ve joined us on the adventure, as we have...

1. •built relationships with 9 Local Heroes in 3 countries
   

2. •produced documentaries on 15 separate subjects
   

3. •hosted our inaugural Personal Philanthropytm Summit
   

4. •introduced new Philanthropists to Peru through our first Expedition
   

5. •built a mailing list of over 1,000 and a Facebook Cause of 465 people
   

In order to be more effective, we are going to move the Education and Expedition functions of TTS to a new entity called PersonalPhilanthropy.org.  TellTheirStory.org will continue to support worthy causes by telling their compelling stories, while PersonalPhilanthropy.org will personally connect people to development projects that make a difference.

Explore Your Philanthropic Side

If you’ve always wondered what it is like to be a globe-trotting Philanthropist, here’s your chance.  PersonalPhilanthropy.org will take you to some of the most beautiful places in the world and introduce you to incredible Local Heroes doing incredible work.  We will provide educational opportunities to equip yourself to better understand Global Philanthropy and International Development, then host opportunities for you to come and see for yourself.  The 2010 schedule is taking shape now, so please check it out: personalphilanthropy.org

In the coming months, you will start to receive communication from both organizations.  Because our missions are truly complementary, we hope you’ll stay involved with both - just as we will.

Visit PersonalPhilanthropy.org to learn about travel to developing countries where you will meet with the Local Heroes of sustainable development projects, such as microfinance organizations. Support these Local Heroes in-person or through the website. TellTheirStory.org is the media partner of PersonalPhilanthropy.org and also provides the fiscal sponsorship required to allow for tax deductible donations to Local Heroes.
